Nutritional Therapy
Cookery Workshops

When I see clients for Nutritional Treatments I usually recommend the inclusion of certain foods and the exclusion of others. Often people are at a loss to know how to use and cook foods that they are not familiar with, or how to replace those food types which need to be excluded. This can cause them to give up on implementing the recommended changes. In response to this I have devised a series of healthy eating and cookery workshops to enable people to make these changes. see Healthy Eating Workshops.

Iridology

Iridology involves the examination of the iris of the eye with a torch and magnifier, and the interpretation of the signs and markings found therein. From this the therapist can then assess the individual’s health status and potential, identifying possible causes and suitable treatment of dis-ease, and facilitating preventative treatment.

Dextoxification Programmes

It is becoming increasingly difficult to remain healthy in today’s world. However a regular Detox can play a significant part in keeping healthy and in overcoming long standing health problems. Detoxification is about resting, cleaning and nourishing the body from the inside out. By removing and eliminating toxins, then feeding your body with healthy nutrients, detoxifying can help protect you from disease and renew your ability to maintain optimum health.

Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional therapy uses food, supplementary nutrients and cleansing procedures to alleviate or prevent chronic health problems. In the hands of a fully qualified therapist, Nutritional medicine is a safe, gentle approach. The therapy is based on scientific research and knowledge and yet takes a holistic view. It supports active biological processes rather than using suppressive methods, and is designed to work from the level of cells and tissues. Nutrition is about keeping your body alive and well by means of food. Like any complex machine it will not work properly unless it receives the right fuel and is properly maintained. Nutritional therapy aims to find the cause of an illness or imbalance, rather than just looking at the symptoms, and to treat the problem using therapeutic diets and supplements.

Dietary Advice

This session is for those people who do not need in depth Nutritional Therapy, but maybe need a quick review of their current diet. Most people service their cars or household boilers annually, but how many get a professional to look at their diet regularly and let them know where work needs to be done to keep their body healthy? Anyone can benefit from changes to their diet as we can all get ‘stuck in a rut’ and do not eat sensibly. Some believe their diet is reasonably good but they just do not realise the full impact of their current ways on their health. A dietary advice session will provide you with information on how to make real changes and notice real benefits such as weight loss/gain, increased energy levels, more vitality and improved skin condition.

Massage Therapy

Massage can help to release chronic muscular tension and pain, relax and tone the muscles, improve circulation, improve lymph flow, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture and reduce blood pressure. Massage is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being. Massage is the quickest, surest way to create a sense of relaxation and well-being. It is comforting, soothing, reassuring and makes us feel happy. A regular massage will maintain vitality, promote healing and keep muscular tension at bay. We offer several styles of massage; Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Indian Head, Pregnancy, and Swedish.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a therapeutic method of improving health by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular illness or abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress, injury, and illness.

Reflexologists work from maps of predefined pressure points that are located on the hands and feet. These pressure points are reputed to connect directly through the nervous system and affect the bodily organs and glands. The reflexologist manipulates the pressure points according to specific techniques of reflexology therapy. By means of this touching therapy, any part of the body that is the source of pain, illness, or potential debility can be strengthened through the application of pressure at the respective foot or hand location.

I offer various forms of Reflexology practice, including: Classic Foot and Hand Reflexology, Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT), Nerve Reflexology and Maternity Reflexology.

Nutritional Therapy

The foods that we consume play more of a role in our health than perhaps anything else. The saying, “you are what you eat”, is very true and good nutrition leads to a healthy body and a sound mind.

Nutrition is the science that establishes the relationship between a person’s diet and their levels of health. As a fully qualified nutritional therapist I can advise you on dietary and nutrition matters relating to your health. Following a good diet can have an incredible effect on your quality of life and hence Nutrition is one of the most important things to consider in your life.

After all it is not the number of years in your life that matter, but the life in your years.

Within this therapy I offer the following: Nutritional Therapy, Dietary Advice, Iridology, Detoxification Programmes, Healthy Eating Workshops, and Individual Coaching .
